SOAR Vocational Employment Services
Our organization provides various support services for individuals who qualify for Vocational Rehabilitation services. We understand that each person’s needs are unique, and that is why we offer a variety of services that include job development, supported employment, person-centered transition planning, guidance and counseling for parents and stakeholders, community living education, secondary and post-secondary education, life coaching, social skills training. These services are designed to not only help our clients achieve their goals but also to ensure they are receiving the support they need to be successful.
As we strive to impact the community positively, our work is not limited to our clients. We also provide community outreach programs, training, and workshops for educators, parents, and community partners. Additionally, we offer administrative support, UDL for the workplace, and community presentations. Our goal is to enrich and elevate the lives of those around us, and we continue to work tirelessly toward achieving this mission.
Career Camps will help participants learn crucial skills for their future work environment and independent living. Our program includes skills assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses and match jobs to your skills. We offer strategies for time management, goal-setting, and self-advocacy to achieve success in personal and professional life. Participation in our program will give you the knowledge and confidence to navigate the world of work and live independently, setting you on a fulfilling career and self-sufficient life.
Self-Advocacy is dedicated to providing invaluable guidance and support to students looking to understand themselves and their unique learning circumstances better. We believe that by equipping our students with the necessary tools and resources, they can learn to advocate for their own needs and goals effectively. Our approach focuses on strengths-based learning, which means we work to identify and encourage our students’ strengths and talents. Additionally, we help students develop strategies for managing their time and navigating challenging situations, giving them greater control and confidence. Ultimately, we aim to empower our students to succeed academically and beyond with greater awareness and appreciation for their abilities and potential.
Every client will explore appropriate workplace behaviors participate in worksite tours and job shadowing experiences. Preparing students for the workplace; soft skills training, peer mentoring, independent living skills, and accessing transportation.
With work-based learning, young adults can get hands-on experience through employers. Such programs offer a dynamic environment that mimics real-world scenarios, enabling participants to improve their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Additionally, these programs help participants to develop effective teamwork and communication skills while working alongside experienced professionals in their field of interest. As a result, work-based learning benefits the participants and employers who gain access to highly skilled and experienced job candidates.

Is designed for clients who need help on how their abilities can be successfully applied to a career path. During this process, a Discovery Specialist will spend one-on-one time with the client to find careers that are the right fit for each and every client. On-the-Job Training is an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, which is valuable for building a successful career. During this program, students can expect to develop various skills, receive valuable job references, and establish meaningful connections with professionals in their chosen field.
