Career Camp FAQ
- Must be between the ages of 14-21
- Must be in a secondary, postsecondary or other recognized educational programs
- Have written consent from the parent or guardian
- Have documentation that indicates they are a student with a disability which requires the student :
- be eligible for, and receiving, special education or related services under part B of IDEA
- be an individual with a disability receiving services from a Florida secondary, postsecondary or other recognized educational program under a 504 plan
- We will need a doctors diagnosis, 504 plan or IEP which can be sent to: info@floridaincludesme.org
- Also the referral linked below will need to be filled out.
Once we have approved the referral, we will email the parent, guardian, or participant, letting them know it was approved. This email will discuss what is expected of the students when camp starts.
- A week before the virtual camp, an email will be sent out to virtual participants with an agenda and a link to the zoom lessons.
- An agenda will be emailed out to each participant a week before the in-person camp.

- There are mandatory zoom calls. The zoom link will be sent out a week before camp starts.
- Students will need to write their names for attendance at the beginning of the zoom meeting.
- Students must be present in the zoom calls and complete all work in google classroom.
- Students must ensure their names are correctly displayed on google classroom.
- Students must have a working camera, and the camera must be ON during zoom calls.
- All incentive checks will be given out at the end of camp. ( All documents must be filled out before their incentive check is sent.)
- Participants must be present on all days of camp to receive the total incentive. (If days are missed there will be make up days.)
- New Participants will need to have their parent or guardian to fill out new clients forms and should be brought to the first day of camp.
- We ask all participants to bring lunch, snacks, and any drinks they would like (Lunch will not be provided through the program; water will be provided).
- Participants must be present on all days of camp to receive the total incentive. (If days are missed there will be make up days.)
Once all paperwork is received checks will go out with in one to two weeks after camp.
Participants can participate in 5 sessions of camp per year.
