SOAR Beyond 22
Empowering young adults to thrive after high school
What is SOAR Beyond 22?
SOAR Beyond 22 is a dynamic transition program designed to support young adults as they move beyond high school into the next stage of life. Many students find that once they finish high school, there are limited programs available to help them continue learning, growing, and preparing for independence. SOAR Beyond 22 fills that gap by offering a structured environment where participants rotate through multiple activities each day, tailored to their unique abilities and goals.
The program combines skill-building with personal growth. Participants develop essential computer skills, explore career paths, engage in career-focused education, and strengthen strategic thinking. At the same time, they enhance social skills, communication abilities, and independent living skills—tools that are vital for thriving in adulthood.
SOAR Beyond 22 also emphasizes exploration and discovery. Participants are encouraged to investigate a variety of career opportunities, uncover personal strengths, and build confidence in their abilities. Beyond practical skills, the program fosters social connections and community involvement, helping participants develop meaningful relationships that extend beyond the classroom.
Ultimately, SOAR Beyond 22 provides a bridge from high school to adulthood, equipping young adults with the skills, experiences, and support they need to pursue independence, personal growth, and future success.

Funding for SOAR Beyond 22.
At SOAR Beyond 22, we believe every young adult should have access to opportunities that foster independence, growth, and community involvement. To make participation possible, families have two main funding options: CDC+ and Private Pay.
What is CDC+?
CDC+ (Consumer Directed Care Plus) is a program through Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) that gives individuals and their families more choice and flexibility in how their Medicaid waiver services are used. Instead of only receiving services directly through providers chosen by the state, participants in CDC+ manage their own budget and decide which supports and services best meet their needs.
This self-directed approach empowers individuals and families to customize services, hire staff or providers they trust, and design supports that align with their personal goals for independence, community involvement, and daily living.

This self-directed approach ensures services are personalized to each young adult’s unique goals.
In addition to CDC+ funding, families may also choose to participate in SOAR Beyond 22 through a private pay option. This provides flexibility for families who may not be enrolled in CDC+ or who wish to supplement services beyond what is covered by their current funding.
Our goal is to make SOAR Beyond 22 accessible to as many young adults as possible, whether through CDC+ funding or private pay arrangements.
